SD Partners has many consultants with a great depth of knowledge of the electricity industry who are available to assist in all areas of the electricity market.

Supplier Agent Improvement Service

SD Partners offers suppliers an independent assessment of the quality of the support provided to them and their customers by their Supplier Agents, including a detailed action plan of suggested improvements.

We provide each Supplier with its own mechanism for ensuring that obligations to customers and the electricity supply industry as a whole are met. The SD Partners' Supplier Agent Service aims to establish good communications and a good relationship between the Supplier and his Agents which are essential for successful operation in the Electricity market, particularly in the complex relationship between the Supplier, Customer and Meter Operator.

The service is available in both the Half Hourly and Non-half Hourly markets and is tailored to each Supplier to address their specific circumstances, aspirations and areas of concern. A widespread concern is the high use of estimates for settlement in the Half Hourly market, and this is an area where the SD Partners service has led to marked improvement and a noticeable increase in the use of actual readings.

Exception Management Service

This is available to any Half Hourly or Non Half Hourly Supplier, as follow

• to work through their exceptions, highlighting trends, resolving issues and identifying process improvements to minimise future problems
• to train Supplier staff in exception management to ensure the most effective and successful use of their time.

PARMS Reporting Service

Performance Assurance Reporting and Monitoring Service (PARMS) is the general name for a series of monthly (and quarterly) reports which Suppliers are obliged to produce, primarily based on data provided by their Agents (Data Collector and so forth).

SD Partners currently offers a PARMS reporting service to both HH and NHH Suppliers.

This is available either as:

• on-site assistance to a Supplier in the timely completion of their PARMS returns to ELEXON
• an outsourced PARMS service to undertake all PARMS reporting responsibilities on behalf of the Supplier, for one or more Market Participant IDs.
