Software for the Electricity Industry
Using our significant electricity experience, SD Partners has developed a number of software products to allow Electricity Suppliers and their Agents to monitor and improve the quality of data used for Settlement under the NETA Trading Arrangements.
These products combine together the Supplier's own data; Agent provided data; market domain data with industry know-how and SD Partners' expertise. They allow each organisation to identify issues with data or processes, and to resolve issues promptly using workflow based systems.
The SD Partners DMS suite of software is multi-user and runs on standard platforms and databases. All products can be fully customised, with the maintenance tools provided, to match each individual Supplier's processes and systems. All products include the following features:
- Dataflow, MDD and Supplier data import
- Workflow management
- Audit Trail
- Knowledge Base
- Suggested Auto Actions
- User defined fields
- Full Customisation facilities
- Security
- Participant Contact details
- Reports – Requests and Instructions
D0095 Management System (DMS95)
This product allows Suppliers and Data Collectors to manage and resolve their D0095 Exceptions.
The D0095 error report is produced by Non Half Hourly Data Aggregators and is the major vehicle for identifying and addressing exceptions. The system is offered with consultant support to train users; to provide an initial hit on problems; to help customise the knowledge base and to advise on improvements to any processes or procedures which may be contributing to D0095 errors.
The system is designed to allow it to evolve with the customer, both through changes to the knowledge base and system extensions developed by SD Partners in conjunction with the customer. In addition to the standard DMS features, DMS95 includes:
- Industry Best Practice guidance
- Identification that errors have reoccurred
- Statistics
- Work prioritisation
D0041 Management Software (DMS41)
This product allows Suppliers to analyse data held within the Non Half Hourly Supplier Purchase Matrix (SPM or D0041). The SD Partners D0041 system records all D0041s received in a database allowing detailed and sophisticated analysis and provides comprehensive performance improvement reports.
The system overcomes the fundamental problem with the D0041 i.e. that it summarises by Time Pattern Regime (TPR) rather than MPAN. Where appropriate the system combines and / or groups TPRs to provide figures for MPANs rather than TPRs. This allows for example accurate assessments of percentage consumption on actual readings by MPAN.
The system can also be used to scan historical D0041s where there are known or suspected problems, allowing them to be quickly identified and addressed before Final Reconciliation crystallises them.
D0019 Management Software (DMS19)
This software product allows Suppliers and Data Collectors to manage their D0019 – EAC/AA flows to validate Estimated Annual Consumptions and Annualised Advances. The D0019 Management System automatically looks at every D0019 in detail as it arrives, identifying suspect Estimated Annual Advances and Annualised advances and other problems.
Every exception identified is written to a database with a clear description of the exception and the contentious data. The user can then work the exceptions in a variety of sequences to target, for example, the high value exceptions; each GSP Group or exception type systematically. Each meter is displayed with all the appropriate exceptions and all the necessary information to address each exception.
The system can also be used to scan historical D0019s where there is a known or suspected problem allowing them to be quickly identified and addressed before Final Reconciliation.
