Project Management Workshop

The workshop addresses the reasons we need project management and presents a pragmatic approach that is flexible enough to meet the needs of all types of project within an organization. The concepts, processes and techniques that are taught within the class are all considered best practices, yet they can be effectively tailored to fit with existing culture and procedures.

A good set of techniques is essential to carry out the process of project management. The workshop introduces a basic set of techniques that can be immediately put into practice by delegates to assist with their project management work. The techniques covered are:

  • Product-Based Planning

  • Quality Reviews
  • Project Filing
  • Planning & Controlling with MS Project

Presentation

The course is delivered as a number of sessions. Each session consists of:

  • discussion of the background issue;
  • a presentation of the key principles and concepts;
  • an introduction to techniques; and
  • practical exercises.

The exercises task delegates attempting to handle situations and problems of the type that will be encountered on a project.

Prerequisites
Experience of the working environment is all that is required.
