Content

The course introduces the principles of JAD and defines issues that JAD techniques seek to address. JAD is positioned as an approach applicable to many project situations such as formulating strategy, risk management, analysis and design.

The course material is a mixture of presentations, notes and practical exercises. The course covers:
  • JAD Principles
  • Group Dynamics
  • Brainstorming
  • Mind Maps
  • Body Language
  • Spoken Language
  • Dynamic Facilitation

Presentation

The course is delivered as a number of sessions. Each session consists of:

  • discussion of the background issue;
  • a presentation of the key principles and concepts;
  • an introduction to techniques; and
  • practical exercises.

The exercises task delegates attempting to handle situations and problems of the type that will be encountered on a project.

Prerequisites
Experience of the working environment is all that is required.

Duration
The workshop lasts 2 days.
