SD Partners is working in partnership with a number of clients to develop systems and utilise the facilities of Information Technology.

Consultancy Services

SD Partners has a strong and flexible system development capability, covering the full system development lifecycle and beyond. For Analysis work, we are able to offer skilled, experienced business/system analysts. For design and development, we can call on developers and development teams who are well versed in a variety of technologies and techniques. For implementation, we offer technicians who are experienced system integrators. For maintenance and support, we have a track record of supporting systems delivered by our own teams.

Project services

SD Partners has a number of experienced business and systems analysts, with a range of commercial experience and systems expertise. We are able to take on a variety of work, including Feasibility Studies, Requirements Analysis, System Specifications and Data Analysis, as well as general IS Consultancy work. We are able to work alone on a specified piece of work, or as part of a team on a bigger project. Given the capability of SD Partners to work right across the development lifecycle, we are able to take the analysis work further into design and development.

Software Development

Our development teams have successfully designed, developed and delivered a number of application systems to clients using leading technology products. We will bid a fixed price for work when required and, owing to our low overheads, we offer very competitive prices.

The emphasis is on the rapid, controlled delivery of systems, using Rapid Application Development (RAD) techniques such as iterative prototyping, Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and Time-Boxed phases. We have our own proprietary Object-Oriented (OO) design technique, focused on the design of GUI systems, although we are also happy to conform to client standards, such as SSADM.

Our developers are skilled in a number of technologies, including Microsoft products, client/server development (including Oracle and SQL server) and, increasingly, e-commerce and web development.

Training

A vital part of any development is the implementation of the system, especially in the case of multi-user, multi-site installations. SD Partners has played a key part in a number of implementations, supporting the client in various activities including software testing, data migration, documentation and training. Many larger implementations are usually managed by an internal team from the client; our system integrators have been happy to work with client technical teams and can point to considerable success in this area of team working.
